Abstract
A Ka-band compact single layer substrate integrated waveguide monopulse slot array antenna for the application of monopulse tracking system is designed, fabricated and measured. The feeding network. A compact substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) antenna array that operates at 28 GHz and 38 GHz is proposed for fifth generation (5G) applications. The proposed array consists of four SIW cavities fabricated on one single layer of substrate. A single-layer substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) monopolar ring-slot antenna is proposed in this letter. It is based on a combination of a circular ring-slot etched in the SIW top wall and a set of shorting vias placed concentrically between the area bounded by the ring and the SIW bottom wall. Thanks to this configuration, a monopole-like radiation pattern is obtained.
